Showers and Storms Ending Tonight. Drier Days Ahead. Sunday forecast update 4pm @wvua23 #alwx

7 Day -10PM SHOW.pngStorms are moving south now and we are starting to see drier conditions as the night moves on. A few lingering showers may be possible this evening in more southern counties. Clouds will linger of the state tonight as the low pressure moves to our southeast. This will allow us to see a few afternoon showers tomorrow as well but not near as rainy as today.

Ridging builds in on Monday behind the low moving out and dry conditions return to the state Monday night into Tuesday. High pressure will set in to our west so with this to the left of us and low pressure to right we have a northerly flow returning and and expect a HOT dry midweek. Highs move into the mid 90s Tuesday to Thursday and with humid afternoons continuing feels like temps will likely touch into the low 100s and a heat advisory is possible these afternoons.

A low will slide southeast into the Gulf Of Mexico Wednesday and has a possibility to become a tropical disturbance. Depending on how the Gulf reacts to this low will vary your rain chances for next Friday to Sunday. It is still too far away to know just how this will react but right now it looks like it will increase the rain chances for the weekend to around 30-50%.
