Scattered Storms Ahead… Hotter This Weekend… Thursday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Good Thursday afternoon! Much of west and central Alabama started off the day very wet, with showers and storms ending this afternoon. Another wave of showers and storms will become possible overnight, but model data is struggling on whether this next round will even exist.

Unsettled weather can be expected at times on Friday. While I don’t expect an all day rain, a passing storm is possible at any time. Plan accordingly. It could very well be the best rain chance occurs during the morning hours, with storms more isolated during the afternoon.

Scattered storms will remain in the forecast through the weekend, but storms will become more isolated.

The tropics are quiet across the Atlantic basin.
