Hot and Humid Weather Ahead…Saturday Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Sevenday_640 (7).jpgGood Saturday evening! The past several days have been filled with rather mild July temperatures and relatively low humidity levels, but unfortunately hot and steamy weather has returned. Temperatures today reached the low 90s in many areas across Central Alabama and conditions remained dry for the most part. The good news is that these rain-free conditions will continue into tomorrow as well. Expect lows tonight in the upper 60s.

As mentioned earlier, Sunday will be another beautiful day with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will be reaching the low to mid 90s in several portions across the state and dew points will be in the lower 70s. This will make the feels like temperatures not as comfortable, but heat indices will not reach critical levels.

On Monday, expect hot and mainly dry weather again as highs climb back into the low and mid 90s. A stray shower or two could occur, but these chances are quite limited and nearly every location will be staying dry.

A few more scattered showers and storms are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday as an upper-level disturbance moves through the state, so plan on keeping your umbrella handy. Rain chances are in the 30-40% range and highs should remain in the lower 90s.

Throughout the rest of next week and into the first of August, expect more hot and humid conditions. These days will generally feature partly sunny to mostly sunny skies with randomly scattered showers and storms occurring mainly during the afternoon and evening hours.
