Slight Increase in Rain This Week…Sunday Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Sevenday_640 (8).jpgGood Sunday evening! Not much has changed in the forecast today, as we have had more hot and muggy conditions. Highs topped out in the low to mid 90s today across many areas in Central Alabama and the majority of the state remained dry. Expect lows tonight to be back in the upper 60s and skies to be mostly clear.

This trend will continue on Monday, so plan on mostly sunny skies with a stray shower or two, occurring mainly during the afternoon hours. Highs will reach the low to mid 90s again and humidity levels will stay rather high.

On Tuesday and throughout the rest of the week, a summertime pattern will dominate once again, so expect a higher chance for scattered showers and storms to develop each day across the coverage area. Rain chances remain in the 30-40% range, and they will mainly occur during the afternoon and evening hours. Again, this will not be a complete wash-out or an all-day event, but you might need to keep your umbrella close by. Highs will be in the lower 90s and lows will be in the lower 70s.
