Nice by Sunday!!! Rain Next Week… Friday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Untitled

Good Friday afternoon! Our local weather included a little light/patchy rain today, but the rain this evening is gone. Clouds remain with us, and some patchy drizzle or patchy fog is possible tonight, as temperatures drop into the 40s.

A warming trend takes over for the weekend. We’ll top out in the upper 50s to near 60 on Saturday, with a slow return of sunshine. I can’t rule out a stray sprinkle or light shower on Saturday, but most of us will remain dry. Skies will be sunny on Sunday, with temperatures warming into the upper 60s.

Clouds increase on Monday, and we could approach the 70 degree mark by the afternoon. Showers will arrive on Tuesday. But the risk of widespread heavy rain appears unlikely on Tuesday. Rain chances will increase on Wednesday and into Thursday. A few strong storms are possible as well.

Rain on Wednesday… Warmer Weekend Ahead… Tuesday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Untitled

Good Tuesday afternoon! Today was a beautiful mid winter day, with a sunny sky and mild temperatures. Most areas reached the lower to middle 60s this afternoon. Clouds are increasing now and rain isn’t far behind. Expect rain to spread in early Wednesday morning. Temperatures tonight will dip into the lower or middle 40s, so there’s no risk of wintry type of precip in the morning, just rain.

Rain will be likely at times on Wednesday, but I do expect breaks in the rain. Rain amounts will be generally pretty light, with under 1/2″ expected.

Dry air returns on Thursday, with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will top out in the upper 50s on Thursday.

More rain spreads in on Friday, with patchy light rain and cool temperatures.

Nice Tuesday… Rain on Wednesday… Monday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Untitled

Good Monday afternoon! Our local weather turned out really nice this afternoon across the area, as clouds moved out and sunshine made a return. Tuscaloosa reached the lower 60s. Temperatures will drop into the lower 40s tonight, with fog developing. Use caution if traveling overnight, as the fog could become fairly widespread.

Sunshine quickly returns on Tuesday, with a high in the lower 60s. Winds will remain light to calm on Tuesday. Clouds rapidly increase Tuesday night, with rain at times on Wednesday. While I don’t expect an all day rain on Wednesday, it would be wise to keep the umbrella handy. Temperatures will be in the 50s on Wednesday.

Another round of rain will pass through on Friday, but this event appears to be a light rain as well.

Sunshine returns over the weekend, with a warming trend ahead.

Temperatures will warm into the upper 50s to lower 60s on Monday and Tuesday, with a partly to mostly cloudy sky. I don’t see any sign of a freeze or frost at night over the next 7 days.

Next rain event arrives Friday of next week.

UntitledGood Thursday afternoon! Our local weather started off gloomy and wet for some areas early. Periods of rain continue this evening for most of central Alabama, but there are a few spots that haven’t got much rain today. There could be some clearing tomorrow, especially south of I-20, with temperatures reaching the middle to upper 50s during the afternoon. A stray shower or some drizzle will be possible for areas near and north of HWY 278.

Saturday looks dry and seasonal. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds, with a high in the middle 50s. Clouds increase Saturday night and showers will spread in Sunday afternoon or Sunday night. I don’t expect a widespread rain event, but light showers are possible through early Monday morning.

Temperatures will warm into the lower 60s on Monday and Tuesday, with a partly to mostly cloudy sky. I don’t see any sign of a freeze or frost at night over the next 7 days.
