Good Monday afternoon! Our local weather has turned out rather hot this afternoon, with most areas well into the lower to middle 90s. Moisture levels continue to increase, and we’ll notice a better chance of scattered showers and storms this week in response to that. Expect temperatures to slowly drop into the 70s overnight, under a mostly clear sky.

A few scattered storms are possible on Tuesday, but I expect most of our area to remain dry. As a week surface front approaches from the northwest, the risk of scattered storms will increase some on Wednesday to 40%.

Thursday and Friday will feature a mostly sunny sky, with isolated afternoon and evening storms being possible. The risk of rain those days stands at 30%. Highs will top out in the lower 90s, and heat index values will approach 100 degrees.
