Very Hot Weather Ahead…. Friday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Good Friday afternoon! Our local weather has included a few showers and storms in spots this afternoon, but where it’s not raining, it is very hot! Temperatures will fall into the 70s tonight, with a few evening storms remaining possible.

An excessive heat warning has been issued for our area for Saturday, as the heat index will likely reach 110 to 113 locally. Temperatures will remain very hot through Sunday and Monday.

There is evidence of drier air moving in by early next week.

The tropics are quiet across the Atlantic basin.
