Good Tuesday afternoon! Our local weather started off with a mix of sun and clouds early this morning, but clouds rapidly took over today, as moisture increases. Showers will spread in overnight tonight, with temperatures starting off in the lower 50s at 10pm and rising to near 60 by sunrise.

As a surface front approaches from the northwest, expect periods of rain on Wednesday. Temperatures will fall slowly through the day, with many areas in the lower 50s by mid afternoon. Rain amounts tonight and Wednesday will approach 1 to 2 inches.

We’ll start Thursday morning near freezing, with a high in the upper 40s by the afternoon. Skies gradually clear out Thursday afternoon as drier air takes over. Even cooler air will arrive on Friday, with temperatures dropping into the middle 40s for highs. Expect upper 20s Thursday night.

This weekend will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with highs in the lower 50s. The models that once showed some wintry weather for the weekend have all vanished, with seasonal conditions expected. We’ll have to watch early next week for any wintry weather, but at this point, it’s far too early to know what will happen. I’ve added a small chance of “precip” to the forecast.
