Rain by Saturday… Cool Temps Continue… Thursday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.pngGood Thursday afternoon! Our local weather remained cool today, despite lots of sunshine. Most areas managed to reach the lower 50s, especially over the western side of the state. Temperatures will drop fast after sunset, with many areas below freezing by midnight. Expect a low in the upper 20s to near 30 in our area tonight.

Clouds slowly increase on Friday, with temperatures warming into the lower 50s by mid afternoon. I don’t expect any rain on Friday, but a few showers will move in early Saturday morning, followed by a widespread rain by midday Saturday. Periods of rain will continue into Saturday night, then decreasing to light showers on Sunday. Rain on Sunday will be very isolated and mainly confined to the eastern side of the state. Clouds will stick with us through much of Monday.

Tuesday through Thursday of next week returns to seasonal conditions. Highs will top out in the mid to upper 50s, with lows in the 30s.
