Good Monday afternoon! Our local weather started off cold this morning, with many areas in the lower to middle 20s at sunrise. With ample sunshine, temperatures managed to make the middle to upper 40s after lunch. Expect a fast drop in temperatures tonight, with many spots below freezing by midnight. We’ll reach a low near 30 tomorrow morning, but areas north of I-20 will be in the 20s.

Clouds increase on Tuesday, and there could be a stray shower late in the day. Widespread rain is not expected during the day. By early Wednesday morning, rain will become widespread, and we can expect rain for most of the day on Wednesday. Rain amounts of 1 to 2 inches appear likely. Temperatures will remain in the 50s all day on Wednesday, then falling into the lower 30s Wednesday night. There could be a few tiny flurries late Wednesday night, but the main moisture will be gone before the cold air arrives.

Thursday through the weekend will feature dry and cold weather. Highs will remain in the 40s each afternoon, with a few nights in the 20s. No sign of any major snow or accumulating snow at this time…
