Mild Air to Start the Week… Sunday Forecast Update — 8:05pm

Today was still chilly, but temperatures are on the rise, especially for the start of the work week. Tonight we remain mostly clear with temperatures dropping into the lower 30’s, maybe even the upper 20’s for some areas. Early in the morning for Monday clouds will start to build across central Alabama, mainly west to east, ahead of a new incoming system that will bring our next opportunity for rain. Temperatures for Monday will be a quick break from the recent cooler weather, thanks to the incoming system providing a chance for warmer air from the south to flow in.

Tuesday our next rain making system arrives ahead of a cold front. The system takes its time to pass, and rain will start ending across the state from west to east during the morning, Wednesday. Temperatures Tuesday will start to drop and we will be on the cool side Wednesday; however, temperatures will once again rise thanks to the ample amount of sunshine Alabama will experience for the remainder of the week.

Next weekend will start off slightly warmer than average after multiple days of daytime heating allowed by clear skies. Clouds will start to build during the weekend ahead of a new system that looks to arrive early that following work week.
