Rain Ending… Chilly… Nice Weekend Ahead! Tuesday Forecast Update – 4pm #alwx @wvua23

Good Tuesday afternoon! It has turned out to be a wet day across Alabama, with rain pretty much all day across central and west Alabama. Rain amounts are generally between 1/2 an inch in portions of east Alabama and approaching 2″ in west Alabama. Rain will gradually end from northwest to southeast tonight, as chilly air takes over. Expect lows in the upper 30s tonight.

A few showers could begin the day on Wednesday south of I-20, but that will end well before noon. Highs will top out in the upper 40s on Wednesday, with a cool north breeze. Expect a light freeze Wednesday night.

Sunshine will return on Thursday and Friday, with a warming trend. Highs will the middle 50s on Thursday, then upper 50s to near 60 on Friday. The weekend will feature even warmer temperatures, with highs reaching the mid 60s on Saturday and 70 on Sunday.
