Showers by Mid-Week… Monday Forecast Update… – 5pm #alwx

Warnings_946

Good Monday afternoon! High pressure continues to bring our area nice and dry weather this evening, but it will get rather chilly again tonight. Temperatures won’t get as cold as recent nights, but expect temperatures to dip into the lower 40s after midnight.

A south wind will develop on Tuesday, and moisture will start to make a return. With moisture moving into the area ahead of an advancing cold front, expect clouds to increase through the day. Highs will top out in the lower 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday. I don’t expect any weather issues for Election Day on Tuesday, so get out and vote! As the cold front moves in from the northwest, showers will become likely late Wednesday, Wednesday night and early Thursday.

Temperatures will get chilly again as a sharp upper air trough progresses through the area. Highs will only top out in the lower 60s on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; in-fact, areas north of I-20 will stay in the 50s all day. Lows will drop into the 30s by Friday night.
