Heavy Rain on Thursday… Drier Air by Friday… Wednesday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Good Wednesday afternoon! Our local weather will continue to include cloudy skies tonight, with temperatures falling into the lower 40s overnight. Rain will become widespread overnight, with a soaking expected.

Heavy rain will spread across the region on Thursday. Some areas could receive a good 2″ from this round. The heavier rain will occur during the afternoon hours and continue into Thursday night.

Skies quickly become sunny on Friday, with a return of drier air for the rest of the week and weekend. Drier air will stick around for much of next week as well.
