Rain Moving Out! Sunny Friday/Saturday… Thursday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

UntitledGood Thursday afternoon! It has been a wet couple of days to say the least here in the southeast! At 3:30pm, rain is coming to an end quickly across the area, as drier air begins to take over for a few days. Expect a cold night, with lower 30s along I-20, with some upper 20s possible to the north of Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

Skies will be sunny on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures will remain cool Friday afternoon, with a high in the lower 50s. We will warm into the upper 50s on Saturday, after we begin Saturday morning in the upper 20s.

Clouds increase late Sunday, with perhaps a stray shower after sunset, but the best chance of rain holds off until after midnight. We’ll deal with occasional showers on Monday. I don’t expect an overly heavy rain event for Monday, as this system appears to be more limiting on uplift and moisture. Highs will reach the middle to upper 60s on Monday.

Next cold front arrives Tuesday night of next week, which will send some pretty chilly weather our way. After a chilly middle to end of next week, I expect a slow warming trend by late next weekend.
