More Rain… Dry Weekend Ahead… Monday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Good Monday afternoon! Our local weather turned out mild today, with a high in the upper 60s. Clouds will continue to increase tonight, with a stead rain expected. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 50s to near 60 overnight. Rain will be generally light to moderate tonight.

Most of Tuesday will be fairly rain-free, with scattered showers during the day. We’ll have a wave of heavy rain and storms move in Tuesday mid afternoon and into Tuesday night. Flash flooding is unlikely, but there could be some heavy rain at times.

Wednesday will be cooler and mainly dry. A few showers are still possible during the day, with a high in the middle to upper 50s.

Rain returns on Thursday, with a widespread light to moderate rain. It will be chilly on Thursday, with temperatures holding in the 40s all day. There could be some snow over Tennessee, but no evidence of that down our way. Rain amounts of 2 to 3 inches appear likely this week.

Skies become sunny on Friday and remain sunny or mostly sunny through Sunday.
