Few Showers Thursday… Nice Weekend Ahead… Wednesday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Sevenday_640_jpg.pngGood Wednesday afternoon! Our local weather started off very cold this morning, with most spots in the upper teens. With full sunshine and a light to calm wind this afternoon, most of our area managed to reach the 50 degree mark. Expect another chilly night tonight, but not near as cold as lastnight. I expect a low around 32 tonight, as clouds increase.

Clouds increase Thursday, with perhaps a few showers, especially south of I-20. There better rain chance Thursday night, and that will also remain along and south of I-20. With the extra clouds and a few showers, temperatures will remain in the upper 40s for an afternoon high. Clouds will stick with us through much of Friday, with a few showers remaining possible for areas east of I-65 in east Alabama.

By the weekend, expect highs generally in the lower 60s, with lows in the 30s. The weekend looks dry at this time.

A weak trough will swing through Sunday night and Monday, and that feature will bring some clouds, but rain is unlikely. We’ll notice a warming trend towards the middle of next week.
