Fall Officially Arrives…Temperatures Say Otherwise. Sunday Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

Sevenday_640.jpgGood Sunday evening! Today was another beautiful day across Central Alabama with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. Although highs were still above average across the coverage area in the lower 90s, they were relatively cooler and closer to expected temperatures for this time of year. Speaking of, fall will be officially arriving overnight at approximately 2:50 a.m. Expect more of a fall-feel as we tumble into the mid 60s during the overnight hours and into Monday morning.

As we start the week on Monday and into the middle of the week, temperatures will continue to remain in the lower 90s. Again, these highs will still be relatively warm, but much cooler than we have been experiencing over the past few weeks. Humidity will remain low, as well, which will help make the air feel more comfortable. Expect mostly sunny skies and the majority of the state to remain dry over the next upcoming days, with the exception of a few isolated showers and storms on Monday and into Thursday as a couple of fronts approach the area. This rain will be mainly limited to the northernmost and southernmost portions of the state.

Heading into the middle of the week and into the weekend, there will be a strong high pressure to the east of Alabama that will begin to increase temperatures and humidity again. Unfortunately, highs will be back in the mid to upper 90s and could even reach record levels on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
