Dry Days Return… Watching Tropics… Tuesday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -10PM SHOW.pngGood Tuesday evening to you! Our local weather included showers and storms in our area this afternoon, with several wind damage reports in response to the storms. Storms have now ended in our area, and we’ll remain dry for the rest of tonight.

Humidity will begin to drop some by Wednesday, especially by the evening hours, as a weak surface front moves in from the northwest. Expect skies to gradually become sunny on Wednesday, with full sunshine on Thursday and Friday. Expect pleasant overnight temperatures, Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night, with most areas in the lower to middle 60s!

Labor Day Weekend will start off warm and dry, with an increase in moisture by the end of the weekend. A few scattered showers and storms may even develop by Sunday.

In the tropics, we have Tropical Storm Erin, with winds at 40mph to the east of the US coast. This system will not impact the US. Tropical Storm Dorian in the northeast Caribbean has a chance to impact the southeast US coastline coming up on Sunday. We’ll watch the forecast model trends carefully in coming days.
