Good Tuesday afternoon! Our local weather started off warm and muggy this morning and became very hot again this afternoon. A few spotty storms have formed today, but this is the hit or miss type of day. The risk of spotty storms will diminish after sunset, as temperatures fall into the mid 70s.

Wednesday will be nearly identical to today, with a mix of sun and clouds, with a few scattered afternoon storms. The risk of rain for any one spot is at 30%. Look for a high in the low to mid 90s, with a heat index around 103.

Thursday through the weekend, a weak surface front will stall across the area, allowing for a pretty good chance of an afternoon storm or two each day. Highs will remain in the low 90s, with lows in the low to mid 70s.

Tropics remain quiet.
