Scattered Storms Possible This Week… Monday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -10PM SHOW.pngGood Monday afternoon! We’ve had a few scattered storms on radar this afternoon across the area, with some spots getting a tremendous amount of rain, while other spots didn’t get a drop. That’s the wonderful nature of scattered summer storms. Expect a very warm and muggy night, as temperatures fall into the lower 70s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will feature similar conditions. A few scattered storms will develop each afternoon, but don’t expect rain to last over 1 hour in one spot. The chance of any one spot getting rained on is at 40%.

Thursday through the weekend, a weak surface front will stall across the area, allowing for a pretty good chance of an afternoon storm or two each day. Highs will remain in the low 90s, with lows in the low to mid 70s.

Tropics remain quiet.
