Good Friday afternoon! Our local weather started off mild and muggy this morning, with a fair coverage of scattered showers and storms this afternoon. Showers and storms will diminish after sunset this evening, as temperatures drop into the 70s.

Look for a mix of sun and clouds this weekend, with scattered showers and storms becoming likely during the afternoon and evening. It will not rain all day, but I do expect a fair chance of any one spot getting a passing downpour. Highs will top out in the upper 80s to near 90 Saturday and Sunday.

Next week, we’ll deal with a few scattered showers and storms, otherwise, expect hot weather. Highs will remain in the low 90s, with lows in the lower 70s.

We’re watching a tropical wave in the Atlantic. There is a chance this one become a tropical storm over the next 5 days, but there is no indication this will impact the US mainland directly. We’ll watch it carefully..
