Rain Continues, Cooler Days Ahead! Saturday forecast update 4pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -10PM SHOW.pngWell the day started off wet here in central Alabama with showers and thunderstorms. Highs today hitting only 80 here in Tuscaloosa, but 91 in Bham, 93 in Jasper, and 78 in Demopolis! This is because some areas in more southwest Alabama are seeing more cloud cover and rain.

Tonight a few showers and storms will linger and begin to die off. This won’t last long as more rain is possible for the day tomorrow. By Monday a cold front will be creeping our way and finally reach us Monday night into Tuesday. This front will bring more widespread rain Monday evening and possibly Tuesday, as well as finally giving us some relief from this heat! Highs Tuesday will only reach into the low 80s and we will stay below our average high temperature for July ALL WEEK!!! The average high for this time of year is 93 and we won’t touch into the 90s for the next 7 days.

So far since the beginning of summer on June 21st, we have only hit in the 80s as our high temperature 3 times! We will hit in the 80s as highs all week long.

After the cold front pushes south of us Tuesday, conditions will dry out Wednesday and Thursday. These will be perfect days to enjoy outside with mostly sunny skies and not as oppressive temperatures like we’ve been experiencing.
