Hot Days Continue… Little to No Rain Ahead… Tuesday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - 5PM SHOW

Good Tuesday afternoon! Our local weather continues hot across Alabama today, with most areas in the mid to upper 90s. We’ll gradually drop into the 70s overnight, with a muggy feel to the air.

The ridge will keep us hot and rain-free for Wednesday as well, with a high in the middle to upper 90s. Look for a mostly sunny sky.

The ridge will weaken a little for Thursday through the weekend, but the heat will remain with us. Expect temperatures to drop into the lower 90s, and there may be a couple of tiny afternoon storms on radar. The risk of rain is only 5% or less, so don’t count on it. This pattern will remain with us through early next week.

There is perhaps some hope of a better rain chance towards the middle or end of next week, but we’ve seen this look before and fade away. We’re in a critical time of the year for farmers, and we need rain to keep things growing. The sun angle in late May/early June is very high, and that tends to bake the ground out faster. Going a couple of weeks without rain this time of the year will dry things out fast.
