Hot Days… Few Scattered Storms Ahead… Monday PM Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

sera.pngGood Monday afternoon! Our local weather turned out rather hot again this afternoon, with many areas in the middle to upper 80s. Skies will remain mostly clear tonight, with temperatures gradually dropping into the 60s by 10pm. Look for a sunrise Tuesday temperature in the lower 60s.

Tuesday afternoon will remain very warm, with a high of 89 degrees. Some areas will reach the 90 degree mark on Tuesday, under a mostly sunny sky.

Moisture will really increase on Wednesday and Thursday. I’ve added a small chance of an afternoon shower or storm Wednesday, but most spots remain dry. As the moisture field deepens a little on Thursday and Friday, you can expect a better chacne of a few scattered afternoon storms. This is more of a summer pattern, and no an all day soaking rain event. Highs will drop into the lower 80s on Friday and Saturday.
