Sunshine Is Returning This Week…Saturday Forecast Update @wvua23 #alwx

April 20 SevendayGood Saturday evening! The upper level low that was previously on top of Alabama has moved over to the Central Appalachians and drier air is beginning to spread into our area. Expect clearing skies and temperatures to drop into the lower 40s tonight.

Although Easter Sunday will have a chilly start, temperatures will rise quickly throughout the day. By noon, temperatures should reach the upper 70s and by 3 p.m., we should top out at a high of 80 degrees. Skies will continue to remain sunny as a surface high approaches.

Dry and warm conditions will continue on Monday as we reach highs in the lower and mid 80s, with lows in the lower 50s. There will be no chance of rain throughout the rest of the next half of the week.

On Wednesday, a mid-level disturbance will begin forming and, ultimately, impact central Alabama on Thursday and Friday. Expect showers and thunderstorms to impact our area late afternoon and evening on Thursday and to continue overnight into Friday morning.
