Monday Storms, Then Sunny & Warm – Sunday Forecast Update @wvua23 #ALwx

47sevenday

Another day of strong to severe storms is ahead for your Monday. All of Central Alabama is under a Level 1 “Marginal” risk for severe storms for the day. The main threats with any stronger storms will be damaging winds and the potential for large hail. Heavy rainfall and frequent lightning will also accompany most of the storms.

By Tuesday morning, the storms will begin to push east into Georgia. This will give way to a generally clearing day, with temperatures warm in the upper 70s. But on Wednesday, we really up the temperatures into the 80s! You can also expect lots of sunshine for Wednesday and Thursday. So mid week will be great to get outside!

By Friday, our next weather system will approach, slightly dropping temperatures and increasing rain chances. Both Saturday and Sunday have the chance for more thunderstorms, though the exact threats or intensity are unclear at this time. We’ll of course have updates through this week.

Join us live on WVUA23 weekdays at 5, 6 and 10 PM and weekends at 10 PM for the very latest on your news, weather and sports.
