Good Thursday afternoon! Portions of west and south Alabama have dealt with periods of light rain this afternoon, with a more widespread area of light to moderate rain moving into west Alabama as of 4pm. Expect periods of rain and perhaps even some thunder overnight. Severe weather is not expected.

Friday and Saturday will be mostly rain-free. Friday, we’ll have a few scattered showers during the morning hours, with a gradual decrease in clouds during the afternoon. We’ll approach 80 on Friday. The risk of scattered showers and storms will increase to 40% on Saturday, especially during the afternoon. These storms will not last very long in one spot and will be hit or miss.

Another wave develops and will bring a round of showers and storms into our area late in the day on Sunday and into Sunday night. Showers and storms will exit early on Monday. At this point, I don’t see any signs of severe weather.
