Rain Returns Wednesday Afternoon… Sunday Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PMGood Sunday evening! Clouds today have gradually decreased as a surface high pressure moved into our forecast area and kept conditions dry. Expect clouds to continue to decrease throughout the night, but patchy fog will develop mainly across western and northwest counties in the overnight hours. The fog should clear by mid-morning on Monday, but expect a few visibility issues to impact your morning commute.

On Monday, temperatures will follow the warming trend and top out in the lower 60s and lows will be in the lower 40s. Sunshine and dry conditions will remain in the forecast on Tuesday as the surface high pressure takes over until another trough moves into our area on Wednesday. Expect light to moderate showers to begin entering West Alabama by Wednesday afternoon and continue overnight into Thursday. Heavier showers will then affect much of our forecast area on Thursday and by Friday early evening dry conditions will return.

A high pressure will come back on Saturday and highs will reach the upper 50s and lows will be in lower 30s. Temperatures should be a little cooler and expect sunshine to move back in the forecast. By Sunday, clouds will begin to increase and highs will top out in the upper 50s and lows will be in the upper 30s.
