Storms Now… Less Humid Air Coming… Monday Forecast Update – 5:30pm #alwx @wvua23

At 5:30pm, Monday, we’ve got a good number of showers and storms on radar. Storms will continue to be possible into tonight due to tropical moisture and an approaching cold front. I don’t expect an all night type of rain, but keep the umbrella nearby this evening and tonight.

Scattered storms will thin out fast on Tuesday, as drier air takes over from northwest to southeast. I expect pleasant conditions for our Wednesday and Thursday, with low humidity and cooler overnight temperatures. We’ll still top out in the upper 80s to near 90 during the afternoons on Wednesday through Friday, but less humid air and a light breeze will make it feel more bearable. Expect fall like evenings and mornings as well.

Humidity will increase some by the weekend, with a few isolated showers and storms returning.
