Hotter Days Ahead… Thursday Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

asdrf54q

Good Thursday afternoon! After a mostly cloudy start to our Thursday, west Alabama as returned into full sunshine. Clouds remain thick as of 5pm for areas east of I-65. Expect the risk of rain this evening to remain very low, but I can’t rule out a stray shower or two.

Friday and Saturday will feature very similar conditions. Highs will warm into the upper 80s to near 90, with lows in the lower 70s. A few pop up afternoon and evening storms will be possible, but I do not expect an all day rain or everyone to get rain. Generally, if a storm pops up in your area it won’t last long.

Upper air ridging will build in some by Sunday and Monday, and highs will return into the lower or middle 90s. I expect a lower number of afternoon storms, but an isolated pop up or two is possible…
