Storms overnight… cooler this week. Saturday Forecast Update – 6:45pm @wvua23 #ALwx

This evening’s rain will continue overnight, with another round of thunderstorms moving across Central Alabama early Sunday morning. Expect some thunder, heavy rain, and some strong gusts, but I’m not concerned about any severe weather. Scattered showers will continue behind this line throughout most of Sunday, with temperatures warm, near 70 in many spots.

Sunday night is when the clearing begins, and Monday will be mostly sunny with much cooler temperatures. Tuesday morning will bring another chance of patchy frost across our northern counties. High temperatures remain in the upper 50s through Wednesday, with morning lows near freezing.

Thursday and Friday will be warmer, with prevailing sunshine. Saturday will be our next chance of showers.

Remember to “spring forward” one hour tonight before you go to bed, this will add another hour to our evening daylight. Sunset for Sunday evening will be at 6:55 P.M.

Join us live on WVUA 23 weekdays at 5, 6, and 10 P.M. and weekends at 10 P.M. for the very latest on your news, weather and sports.
