Showers leaving, Sunshine Returns… forecast update 5pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.pngGood Thursday evening! Showers that moved through central Alabama this afternoon are quickly moving out. Birmingham areas saw some damage from wind early this morning but here in Tuscaloosa, no reports of anything serious.

As those showers are moving out, when you step outside it is going to feel muggy. Dew points are almost matching our temperatures right now which means the air is almost saturated with moisture.

Tonight lows will drop back a little cooler into the low 40s and clouds will start to move out. By tomorrow you can expect a beautiful day with highs in the mid 60s and LOTS of sunshine. If you haven’t made outdoor plans for this weekend you should! It is going to be wonderful! We will be seeing cooler nights and mornings though so start and end your day in a sweater, but layer up because in the afternoon it will be warm enough to wear a t-shirt.

Monday and Tuesday there is a chance for a few showers to return but nothing crazy. Wednesday temperatures will start to cool again.
