It has been just a gorgeous Friday with another taste of spring to finish our work week. This evening we could see a few scattered showers and storms, especially in west Alabama. Low temperatures tonight will get down to the mid 60s.

Saturday looks to be warm as well, but with scattered showers throughout the day, again focused over western Alabama. Overnight Saturday, specifically midnight until 6 AM Sunday, there is the potential for a few strong to severe thunderstorms. This “Level 1” Risk will be west of I-59 and include the potential for damaging winds and a very low, isolated tornado threat.

Sunday will be rainy all day and much cooler, with high temperatures only reaching the upper 60s. Another cool night will be in store Sunday night with lows in the low 50s, with the rain tapering off.

Monday and Tuesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 70s, and the next chance of rain will be with a cold front moving through on Wednesday into Thursday.

Join us live on WVUA 23 weekdays at 5, 6, and 10 P.M. and weekends at 10 P.M. for the very latest on your news, weather and sports.
