Record Breaking Heat Today! Forecast update 9 pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.pngWell we hit record highs here in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham today! Tuscaloosa’s high of 79 beat the old record set just last year of 77. We got a good dose of sunshine and clouds today. It was a nice afternoon to get outside. Tonight is warm as well with lows dropping only back into the upper 50s low 60s. This is unusual because typically highs this time of year are in the low 60s.

Tomorrow expect another warm day with times of sun and clouds. Later in the afternoon there is a chance for a shower or two but nothing heavy. Clouds will increase later Tuesday to make way for another chance for rain on Wednesday and Thursday. Models continue to change how south this system will press so be prepared for a shower these days, but some southern counties may stay dry or only get a drizzle.

Friday will be another nice day with a limited chance for rain and a good dose of sunshine. Rain is in the forecast each day this week, however rain total predictions say central Alabama should see less than an inch.
