Rain Tonight.. Wet Pattern Ahead… Mild Sunday.. Saturday Eve Forecast Update #alwx @wvua23

7 Day - Feb 10

Good Saturday evening! It has been a soggy Saturday, with much of Central Alabama getting a 1/2 inch to 1 inch of rain. The heaviest rain will move through overnight and into tomorrow morning, bringing an additional inch of rain in many places by the end of the day Sunday.

Sunday will continue the rainy weekend with showers in the morning. The rain will decrease in coverage into the afternoon, but spotty showers will persist until Sunday night. High temperatures will be warm though, near 70 degrees in most spots.

The front will stall on Monday giving us another day with morning showers, then decreasing coverage over the course of the day. Tuesday should be drier and warmer with highs near 70 and mostly cloudy skies.

As the front finally pushes east, temperatures will climb back into the lower 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday could even reach the mid 70s. With the southerly flow bringing in the Gulf warmth for this week, it will also come with the Gulf moisture, providing rain chances on Wednesday and Thursday.

The almost daily rain chances will help rainfall totals reach up to 4 inches by the end of the week in many locations across Central Alabama. Rain chances look likely again for the start of next weekend.
