Cold Tonight… Nice Wednesday… Showers by Thursday… Tuesday Forecast Update – 4:30pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Tuesday afternoon! Let me start by this since I’ve had many questions on this topic. I see NO evidence of snow over the next 7 days across our area. Now, for tonight, look for a low in the upper 20s under a clear sky. Expect a good bit of frost on the ground in the morning, with the possibility of a few middle 20s north of Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

Wednesday will turn out to be a nice day after the cold start. Look for a high in the low 60s over west Alabama, with upper 50s north of Tuscaloosa. Skies will remain sunny on Wednesday.

Clouds increase rapidly on Thursday, with a good chance of light showers developing by afternoon. Rain amounts will be generally at or under 0.25″ with this event, but most areas will get a little light rain at times. Expect a high in the lower 60s on Thursday.

Groundhog Day will be cooler, much like today’s weather. Look for an increase in sunshine after morning clouds, with a high in the upper 40s to near 50. Clouds increase on Saturday, with showers late in the day. The best chance of rain will arrive Saturday night, then depart Sunday morning. Drier air will take over by Sunday afternoon. Expect highs in the 50s on Saturday, with low 50s for highs on Sunday and Monday.
