Dry For Now… Rain Chances on Saturday… Monday Forecast Update – 4:30pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Monday afternoon! After a cool and foggy start for some areas, this afternoon turned into a beautiful late Fall day. Temperatures will drop fast after sunset tonight, under a clear sky and dry airmass. Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s along and north of I-20, with low 40s to the south.

We’ll maintain a sunny sky for Tuesday, with a high in the upper 60s. A weak surface front stalls just north of the area on Wednesday, but that may help to increase clouds some over the northern half of the state. Skies will become partly cloudy on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We may reach 70 in some areas on Thursday and Friday.

A strong surface cold front will move in on Saturday, with a good chance we’ll have showers and maybe a few storms, but severe weather is not expected. At this time, the best rain chance appears to be in the morning hours. Much cooler air will move in Saturday night.
