Rain Chances Increasing… Dry by Thursday PM… Tuesday Forecast Update – 4:15pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Tuesday evening! Our local weather has included a very mild and muggy day, with temperatures warming into the upper 70s for many spots. With lots of moisture and a surface cold front in the area, clouds have remained with us for most of the day. Some areas have even seen a few showers pass by from time to time as the front slides southward. Expect a few showers to remain possible overnight, as well as patchy fog. Temperatures will drop into the middle 50s overnight.

Wednesday will feature a cooler day, with temperatures struggling to reach the lower 60s. It’s possible that some remain in the 50s all day, with a cool north breeze. Occasional showers are possible during the morning, with widespread rain moving in by late afternoon. Expect a soaking rain Wednesday night, then coming to an end early Thursday morning. Temperatures Wednesday night will dip into the lower 40s.

Sunshine will slowly return on Thursday, with a high in the middle 60s. I expect lots of sun on Friday and on Saturday for Veterans Day. Highs will reach the upper 60s, with lows in the 40s.

A weak surface front moves through on Sunday, and a few showers are possible with that feature.
