Warm and Humid Again for Sunday, Saturday Forecast Update, 7:30pm. #wxal @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.pngGood Saturday evening! Warm muggy weather was the topic today with some catching a few isolated showers during the day. With day-time heating over now, the few isolated showers that are present still are quickly weakening. Tonight, skies will remain partly cloudy while everyone will be dry. It will be a mild evening due to the muggier weather.

Tomorrow closes off the weekend similar to today, but with a few more breaks in the clouds. Most will remain dry, but there is the chance for a few small, stray showers for the unlucky people will get caught by one.

Moving into next work week, Monday will again be warm and humid, with the chance for a few isolated showers. The real change in the forecast comes Tuesday. An inbound trough will spark some widespread, stray showers Tuesday afternoon. Skies will be mostly cloudy so temperatures will be slightly cooler. The real cool-down holds off until Wednesday though. That’s when the main effects from the temperature gradient from the trough will aid in rain development across central Alabama and bring cooler weather. Thursday, a few isolated showers will linger early on, especially for those south of the I-20 line. Most will remain dry that day though.

Friday and into next weekend we turn back to more seasonal temperatures. Skies will remain mostly sunny through the weekend. Right now, models bring another trough the following work week to try and keep the Fall-like weather in place.
