Warmer Days Ahead… Limited Rain Chances… Thursday Forecast Update – 4:30pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Thursday afternoon! We are finally returning to average mid September conditions, as the remnant low of Irma moves on. Moisture is increasing across our area, and higher humidity will be noticed this weekend.

I can’t rule out a stray shower or storm during the afternoon on Friday through the weekend, but many areas will not get rain. Look for a partly to mostly sunny sky. Highs will reach the upper 80s, with some spots touching 90. Lows at night will modify a bit, with lower 70s at night.

The pattern remains very stagnant through early next week, with no major changes expected.

In the tropics, we have Tropical Storm Jose, which will likely regain hurricane status tonight or Saturday. This one should stay well east of the US mainland. There are two other tropical waves in the eastern Atlantic. Both have a high chance of developing over the next 5 days, as they track west.
