8:30pm Thursday Radar Update… No Current Warnings…. #alwx @wvua23

WVUA 2016

At 8:30pm all warnings have expired in the area. We have a tornado watch until 10pm for central Alabama, but west Alabama counties are being cut from the watch as the risk comes to an end from west to east. The final round of storms are lined up from Cullman to Birmingham to Centreville to Marion, moving east. While there could still be a spin-up tornado along the line, the tornado risk is really beginning to drop off this evening.

We’ll watch radar trends over the next couple of hours, but storms will gradually weaken as they push east of I-65 this evening.

If we get a tornado warning for west, central or east Alabama, you can watch us live on WVUA, or online here: http://wvua23.com/severe-weather-happening-now-live-stream/
