Sun and showers continue… Forecast update 7pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.pngGood Saturday evening! It turned out to be a pretty nice day for much of the state with highs in the upper 80s low 90s. Most areas stayed dry for the afternoon but a few cities up in northern counties saw some quick showers. Tonight temperatures will drop back into the 70s and try to step outside and see the Persied meteor shower!

Tomorrow morning beware of fog when you get on the roads. With a front moving in tomorrow models have dropped back on rain chances for tomorrow so expect a partly sunny day that’ll stay dry for most. However, this front will stall in the state and make for showers and storms possible Monday and Tuesday. Beware of flooding throughout this week, especially for areas that are seeing constant rain. From now until Thursday on average most cities will see a little over an inch based on prediction models, but this is subject to change.

By Wednesday rain chances will decrease so areas will see less rain in the afternoons compared to Monday and Tuesday. This will be the case for the next several days after including your weekend; which is looking to be on the nicer side so far with a lower rain chance.

Hot humid air continues….
