Scattered Storms Remain Possible. Friday Forecast Update – 4:35pm #alwx @wvua23

Good Friday afternoon! Our local weather has been mild & muggy today, with scattered showers and storms moving across the state. As of 4:30pm, scattered storms continue, with a cluster of showers and storms approaching northwest Alabama. I expect rain chances to remain elevated through this evening, then gradually diminishing by midnight. Patchy fog will begin to develop later tonight, so use caution if traveling.

Saturday and Sunday will feature a mix of sun and clouds, with a risk of scattered showers and storms in the area. I do not expect an all day type of rain this weekend, but some areas will notice a passing shower or storm. Highs will range from the upper 80s to near 90.

A surface front will approach the area from the northwest on Monday, sparking the development of scattered to numerous showers and storms. Both Monday and Tuesday appear rather wet across Alabama. While it is unlikely we get an all day rain, there could be an hour or two where it rains at your house.

Storm chances become a little more scattered by mid to late week next week…
