Scattered Storms Continue… Thursday Forecast Update – 4:15pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Thursday afternoon! Our local weather has turned out mild and muggy today, with a good number of scattered showers and storms. Storms are generally moving east or northeast this afternoon, and most storms will fade by 10pm, tonight. Expect lows in the lower 70s, with patchy fog overnight.

Friday through the weekend will feature very similar conditions. We’ll warm into the upper 80s during the afternoon, with a chance of scattered showers and storms. Keep in mind, it will not rain all day, but you could get a passing downpour at any time day or night. The best chance of scattered storms will be during the afternoon and evening hours.

A surface front approaches from the northwest on Monday and Tuesday. Expect an increased rain chance, as uplift from the front interacts with the deep layer of tropical moisture over the area. Storms could produce locally heavy rain in spots.
