Storms Likely This Week – Sunday Forecast Update… #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

An unusual start to August will continue this week with temperatures hovering just below the 90 degree mark (average), and chances for rain being seen every day. We kick things off as the warm front will lift north on Sunday and bring with it more widespread chances at showers and storms.

Throughout the seven day period, not every day will be a wash out, though several days could be. We will see multiple rounds of showers and storms throughout the week with some days seeing more rain than others. August is usually one of our drier months of the year, but this year we could see what usually falls in the entire month in just one week. Rainfall totals by the end of the week will measure over 3 inches in many locations, with some spots seeing more. Keep the umbrellas and raincoats handy this week!
