Dry Weather To Start Work Week. Sunday Forecast Update, 5:15pm. @wvua23 #wxal

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Sunday evening! We were dry state wide today to help make for an awesome finish to the weekend, especially with the less humid air making today’s highs feel much more tolerable. Tonight, we continue to see less humid air in place making for a pleasant evening, along with slightly cooler than usual lows. Tomorrow starts the work week off with the forecast still remaining dry with a dry airmass in place.

Tuesday, we will start to see a change in the weather. Humid air will slowly start to come back to the state as Gulf Air starts to return. For Tuesday is should just make it more humid. Wednesday we will see an increase in clouds but everyone in central Alabama should remain dry. Thursday is when we will see the first chance of rain in the forecast. Storms should be fairly scarce. but any that do form could be some major rain producers.

Friday and next weekend see troughs converging on Alabama causing serious lifting within the atmosphere to get a decent amount of showers and storms to fire-off; that said, it’s still too early to know the exact specifics, but it shouldn’t be a total wash-out for the entire state. Those that do see rain could get a decent amount though.

Join us live on WVUA23 weekdays at 5, 6 and 10:00 P.M. and weekends at 10PM for the very latest on your news, weather and sports.
