Hot Days and Summer Showers Continue.. forecast update 8pm #alwx @wvua23

Well it was a scorcher today! The western part of central Alabama was under another heat advisory for this afternoon. At 7 pm here in Tuscaloosa we were still at a heat index of 99! Some areas saw a brief shower or two during the afternoon. Tonight will stay dry with few clouds.

Tomorrow will start off mild in the mid 70s with partly cloudy skies for most areas. Plan for another hot day with highs in the 90s and feels like temperatures in the upper 90s to 100s. A calm wind will be turning mild from the southwest at around 5 miles per hour so don’t plan for a cool breeze when you step outside. Any relief from heat will come from some scattered showers possible in the afternoon. This will bring those feels like temperatures down a bit for areas that see this rain. Tomorrow night most rain will clear but a few lingering showers are possible to the east.

Tuesday plan for a similar day as well with times of sun and showers. Highs will be a little cooler with highs in the upper 80s for most areas while other cities like Jasper will likely reach into the low 90s. Plan again for scattered storms in the afternoon and a mostly calm wind. Wednesday rain chances will begin to decrease again highs back in the 90s with feels like temperatures possible in the 100s. But Luckily a cold front will push through closer to your weekend to cool those highs down a bit and a chance for a few scattered showers Saturday.
