Warm Weather for The 4th! Monday Forecast Update, 4:30pm. @wvua23 #wxal

7 Day Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.png

Good Monday afternoon! We are seeing scattered showers and storms across northern central Alabama right now (mainly north of the I-22 line), along with warm, soupy conditions. These rain makers will continue pushing east, as a few more may move into Alabama later this afternoon. Tonight, storms will come to an end early for the most part. Fourth of July will hold the chance for isolated showers and storms again, with north central Alabama once again looking to have the greatest chance of everyone for rain. Many will remain dry, despite the chance, and experience very hot conditions. Storms should end early that evening so fireworks are still a-go for everyone!

For the work week, we keep this summer time trend going with very warm conditions and isolated showers and storms each afternoon. A weak MCS will likely come through Thursday, so rain chances will be slightly higher that day.

For the weekend, a trough should dig into the southeast, bringing slightly elevated rain chances at least. Behind it for the following weekend should be some cooler air for a short period of time.

Join us live on WVUA23 weekdays at 5, 6 and 10:00 P.M. and weekends at 10PM for the very latest on your news, weather and sports.
