Sunshine and Showers Continuing… forecast update 9pm #alwx @wvua23

7 Day -SHELTON STATE Forecast - Offset Lows - PM.pngGood Sunday evening!

Tomorrow highs will reach into the low 90s with more humid air. This will be the trend for the next week. Those dew points are staying in the 70s keeping the air muggy which is not uncommon here in the south during the summer. Most areas will stay dry in the morning and into the afternoon. Showers that do push into the state will be later on in the afternoon to evening hours. This means you can get outside tomorrow and enjoy most of your day!

The 4th of July is going to see some showers. But don’t worry it won’t be a complete rainy day, there will be times of sun and a few showers. Right now most of the rain looks to be in the early evening hours around 6pm. Most showers will clear by 9pm for fireworks.

Wednesday will be a little warmer with highs in the mid 90s and some rain in the afternoon. Thursday and Friday models have let up a bit on the rain coverage for those days so it looks like those will also be days that you can spend most of outdoors.

Alabama has seen above average rainfall this past month and with rain continuing it is important to be aware of the chance of flooding.

Have a great holiday everyone!
